So, in order to AVOID BAD PUBLICITY FOR THE COMING ELECTION YEAR, the democrats caved to the 2/3rds rule and the action was SHOT DOWN. The whole system is fucking dishonest, but I agree the republicans are much more insiduous, at least more BLATANT in their corruption.

An action to provide 9/11 rescuers health care for illnesses frankly related to their exposure FAILED, because the funds to be raised were to come from closing taxloops for offshore corporations. The republicans HATED that, and the democrats elected for the 2/3rds rule in order to appease them because some of that cash MIGHT be given to unlawful immagrants THAT HELPED in the rescue, and the pubs didn’t like that.
